PEMANFAATAN PEKARANGAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN GIZI KELUARGA DI DUSUN TEMPURAN DESA BAJULAN KECAMATAN SARADAN KABUPATEN MADIUN

Abstract

Tempuran is one of the hamlets in Bajulan village, Saradan subdistrict, Madiun district. The residents are friendly and harmonious. Most of the residents make their living as farmers. Every house in Tempuran hamlet generally has a yard. Some families have houses with small to quite large yards. The problem is that not all yards are utilized optimally. The aim of this community service is to provide skills to the residents of Tempuran hamlet in utilizing their home gardens by cultivating fish and vegetables in one container (budikdamlon). The method used is lecture, pre-test, post-test and demonstration. The participants looked very happy and enthusiastic in following the material presentation and demonstration of budikdamlon making. The result of this community service is an increase in residents' knowledge. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of pretest scores/values when compared to the percentage of posttest scores. The percentage of pretests that got a score of 6 = 51.61%, a score of 7 = 38.71%, and a score of 8 = 9.68%. Meanwhile, the percentage of posttests that got a score of 6 = 12.90%, a score of 7 = 61.29%, a score of 8 = 16.13%, and a score of 9 = 9.68%. Hopefully, this increase in community knowledge can be applied in residents' daily activities so that it can improve nutrition and the family economy.
