Abstract

ABSTRACT

Health education is one way to disseminate health information to the public to encourage and make them independent through the health messages they have received. Health education covers various themes, one of which is about healthy food. 

Knowledge about healthy food and the dangers of food additives in snacks is very necessary for all people, especially school-aged children. School-age children are the biggest consumers of snacks. Disseminating information about the dangers of food additives to school-aged children is an effort that needs to be made to increase knowledge about the dangers of food additives in snack foods. This effort is carried out by disseminating information about what substances are contained in snacks, especially dangerous substances. This information is very necessary so that they know and are able to choose food that is suitable for consumption.

The results of this counseling will be studied by measuring the level of knowledge before and after the counseling is carried out. The aim is to find out how much influence counseling has on the level of knowledge. The validation and data collection for this research was carried out at SD Negri 1 Ngebel with a total of 28 students consisting of 4th grade elementary school respondents. The instrument used uses a questionnaire to determine students' knowledge before and after counseling.
